Who are Chat Hackers?
We're a group of technologists who work on creating tools for organisers to use on WhatsApp to help their efforts. We come together to create solutions that make organising easier and more efficient! We were formed through a partnership between John Evans (spacetu.be), Campaign Lab and Newspeak House, The London College of Political Technology.
What tools have we built?
- Automatic Welcomes: When someone new joins your chat - send an automatic welcome to ask them to introduce themselves.
- Auto Moderater: Programme automated warnings or flags around certain terms or hate speech

How it works
1Check with your community that they are happy to add our tools.
Our tools do require chathackers to have some access to names and numbers (in the same way any person added to a WhatsApp group would have). It's worth checking with your community that they are happy with this.
2Add our chathackers phone number to your group.

3Reply to our bot and follow the instructions to switch on the modules you need.
